OSU Center for Health Sciences & OSU Center for Wellness and Recovery is offering Buprenorphine Waiver Training

The purpose of this is to better prepare physicians and medical students to identify individuals with opioid use disorders and to engage those patients in medication-assisted treatment for their opioid use disorder.

The course will be a total of 8 hours of in-person lecture, which will cover all medications and treatments for opioid use disorder, and provides the required education needed to obtain the waiver to prescribe buprenorphine.

Lunch is not provided. A one-hour lunch break is planned to allow participants to dine off campus or order food for delivery to the building. Personal snacks and beverages are welcome in the event room.

The OSU-COM Continuing Medical Education office designates this program for a maximum of 8 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
