CMS has made The Severe Obstetric Complications (eCQM) Available for Public Comment:

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has contracted with Yale New Haven Health Services Corporation/Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE) to support The Joint Commission in the development of an EHR-based risk-adjusted outcome measure of maternal morbidity and mortality. The Severe Obstetric Complications electronic clinical quality measure (eCQM) is being developed for assessing the quality of maternal care in the inpatient setting.
CMS is inviting stakeholders and other interested members of the public to review and comment on the measures under development beginning November 19, 2021. The public comment period will close on December 18, 2021. This period provides an opportunity for the widest array of interested parties to provide input on the Severe Obstetric Complications eCQM and can prompt critical suggestions not previously considered by the measure contractor.
