The Joint Commission is calling for public comments on Proposed Standards for Perinatal Safety for Hospital Accreditation Program Field Review

The Joint Commission is considering the development of standards for perinatal care in the hospital accreditation program (HAP), specifically related to the care of patients experiencing hemorrhage or severe hypertension/preeclampsia. These standards are being developed to further promote patient safety and quality of care, and to align the accreditation requirements with current recommendations from scientific, professional and governmental organizations.

They are seeking input from the field on the proposed standards for perinatal safety.

Comments on these proposed requirements will be gathered through May 29, 2019. Thank you in advance for your time and thoughtful responses.
