Interim Guidelines for Pregnant Women During a Zika Virus Outbreak: SoonerCare coverage questions answered

For SoonerCare women who have traveled to high risk exposure areas, both testing and ultrasound screening would be covered under current insurance stipulations.
1)  Asymptomatic patients that have recently traveled to affected areas would require an MFM referral (provided their allotted 2 ultrasounds have been used already).  This referral would allow for at least one additional ultrasound.  If the MFM decides serial ultrasounds are warranted, then the patient would qualify for the HR OB package and be able to receive the necessary additional ultrasounds.
2)  Symptomatic patients would have serology testing covered and ultimately ultrasound f/u as recommended under the HR OB package.
