The new Perinatal Safety and Quality Chapter CNE can be purchased separately or with the Obstetric and Neonatal Quality and Safety Review Program and will assist nurses in preparing for the multidisciplinary Obstetric and Neonatal Quality and Safety Certification (C-ONQS) offered by the National Certification Corporation (NCC).
This chapter provides the clinician with information on perinatal quality and safety, including definitions of maternal and infant mortality, causes of increased maternal mortality and morbidity, including racial and ethnic disparities, threats to perinatal safety, and strategies for quality improvement.
