Please join us for Resident’s Day at the Capitol sponsored by the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG), Oklahoma Section. We will gather at 8:30 AM for a light breakfast and an issues briefing by ACOG lobbyist Jan Loftis. Jan will give us an overview of pending legislation at the State Capitol and provide talking points for attendees to use when visiting with their state legislators. Then, we’ll head to the Capitol for direct lobbying and one-on-one visits with Oklahoma legislators.
At noon, we’ll head back to the OSMA offices for lunch. We’ll also have an informative presentation by ACOG National government affairs expert Katherine Moore on critical issues of importance at the Federal level and why advocacy is important to the medical profession. After lunch, we’ll have several partners of the ACOG Oklahoma Section bring us an update on their legislative goals and activities as they relate to teen pregnancy, access to quality rural health care, maternal mortality and other issues of importance to women and girls.
