SUMMARY:Project ECHO & AAP
DESCRIPTION:The AAP is excited to announce that the Maternal-Infant Health and Opioid Use ECHO have joined together to form a collaborative that aims to support pediatric practices in their implementation of clinical interventions to improve the health outcomes of infants and families affected by prenatal opioid use. Pediatric practices interested in developing sustainable patient- and family-centered approaches to treatment and support for infants with prenatal opioid exposure are encouraged to apply. Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) is an innovative telementoring program designed to create virtual communities of learners by connecting experts with primary care teams in local communities\, fostering an“all teach\, all learn” approach. This ECHO will incorporate quality improvement work and will meet monthly from October 2020 through April 2021. The opportunity to participate is open to all pediatric practices. The ECHO sessions will be held the second Monday of each month@ 1:00 – 2:00 pm(ET) | 12:00 – 1:00 pm(CT). \nRegister Here

SUMMARY:Breastfeeding and COVID-19 Webinar Panel with Q&A
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the most current recommendations about breastfeeding during the COVID-19 pandemic. There is a lot of confusion and concern over whether it is safe to keep mothers and babies together after delivery\, whether a mother should continue breastfeeding if she is diagnosed with the virus and is donor milk still safe. We hope to clarify what the evidence and recommendations are and support optimal breastfeeding. \nCome hear from our panelists and be ready with your questions. Feel free to submit any questions to OBRC (obrc@ouhsc.edu) ahead of time though we will do our best to answer questions live as well. \nPanelists: \nKate Arnold\, MD – OB/GYN\, Women’s Health Director\,  Variety Care \nDoug Drevets\, MD – Infectious Disease\, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center \nMalinda Webb\, MD – Pediatrician\, Stillwater Medical Center\, Chapter Breastfeeding Coordinator\, OK AAP \nRebecca Mannel\, MPH\, IBCLC – Director\, OK Breastfeeding Resource Center\, OUHSC and Executive Director\, OK Mothers’ Milk Bank \nSee options to join below. \nZOOM \nSkype
