DESCRIPTION:Keeping Babies in Mind While Working with Parents\nWednesday\, February 2\, 2022\n8:30-12:30\nhttp://registration.xenegrade.com/odmhsastraininginstitute/coursedisplay.cfm?schID=4080\n\n\nKeeping Babies in Mind Training Description: The goal of this training is to build a foundation of knowledge in parent-child relationships to create holistic plans of safe care for families. Participants will learn the unique mental health needs of infants and young children\, which are directly related to the needs of parents.   Participants will also identify key basics of development and attachment and will explore how early experiences are related to later health and well-being through lecture\, discussion and activities. One of the primary goals of the training will be putting these pieces together so that treatment planning can be strengthened to improve outcomes for families.  The target audience is service providers or individuals who are working with parents who are also receiving substance abuse services.\n\n\nObjectives:\n1. To define infant mental health.\n2. To review social-emotional development and how it impacts the lifespan\n3. To look at different types of attachment and how substance use fits into attachment styles.\n4. To review the effects of trauma and the brain.\n5. To discuss how plans of safe care can be informed by the parent-child relationship\n6. To discuss how the relationship can guide the Family Care Plan \n***** This trainings has been approved for 4 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEU) through the Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Social Workers\, the Oklahoma Board of Examiners of Psychologists\, the Oklahoma Board of Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors\, the Licensed Professional Counselors Committee\, and the Licensed Marital and Family Therapist Committee\, Case Managers and Peer Recovery Support Specialists.  These trainings have also been approved for 4 hours of CLE and MJCLE through the Oklahoma Bar Association.  ***** \nNOTE Effective September 1st\, 2017:\n•        To have the $25 fee removed everyone must enter the Promo Code TICOMP25\n•        Once you enter the promo code make sure you hit recalculate and it should remove the $25 fee and be at no cost\n•        If someone No Shows or doesn’t cancel their attendance with less than a 48 hour notice\, then the Training Institute will put the $25 fee back on their account and send an invoice

DESCRIPTION:FACILITATOR INFORMATION: \nDr. Jabraan Pasha\, MD is a native of Tulsa\, OK. He received his undergraduate and medical degree from The University of Kansas and completed his Internal Medicine Residency Training at Mayo Clinic Arizona. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Assistant Dean of Student Affairs for the University Of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine. One of his major interests is the impact of implicit bias on patient care and society. He has presented his workshop Unlocking Implicit Bias over 100 times\, including sessions for Mayo Clinic\, American College of Physicians\, Association of American Medical Colleges and internationally in Canada\, Paris\, France and Portugal. \n \n  \n
