* RN, APRN or retiree
* AWHONN member
* May only be nominated for one category per year

Nominees are evaluated based on evidence of the following qualities:

• Visionary and passionate about AWHONN and the health promotion of women and babies
• Model of professionalism
• Motivates excellence in others
• Inspires confidence and celebration of the success of others
• Communicating complex ideas in a simplistic manner
• Living the message: creativity, resourcefulness, confidence, passion
